INTERACTIVE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP)

Click on the link below to enter the Volusia County Metropolitan Planning Organization's Interactive Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) mapping system.  The TIP lists transportation expenditures that are planned to be spent over the next five-years.  The TIP contains information on a wide array of transportation projects including aviation, bicycle facilities, planning studies, road improvements and transit, among others.

This newly created web-based mapping service has been designed to allow you to find out when transportation projects will be built in your county, city, and/or neighborhood.  This new service will allow you to search for transportation projects by road name, by program number, by political jurisdiction, or by geographic location.

About The MPO

The Volusia County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is a policy-making board comprised of representatives from local government and transportation authorities that review transportation issues. Although these individuals come to the table with multiple, and sometimes conflicting perspectives, they work together to establish local and regional priorities for the transportation improvements that are eligible for state and federal funding.

To assist them in their decision-making process, the MPO board members rely upon committee members and support staff as well as active participation from interested citizens concerned business representatives, special action groups and other voices in the community. This web site is intended to help facilitate public participation by providing citizens with an opportunity to review the plans and programs of the MPO and to provide comments regarding these activities.
